Demand Response Planning for ADA and General Public Riders
Now more than thirty years beyond the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990), public transit continues to explore and re-invent strategies for providing compliant ADA service and to meet additional rider trip needs. For general public riders, microtransit applications enable demand response services to provide on-demand trips and to serve low-density areas where fixed-route is not viable.
AMMA’s long history with demand response operations means AMMA brings to its analyses a rich understanding of paratransit operations and the tools and strategies by which to secure cost-savings or improve service effectiveness.
